Jim Padish’s experience in criminal defense began as a public defender in Illinois. In 1987 he came to Arizona, joining the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office and, later, becoming the first executive director of the City of Phoenix Public Defender’s Office. He held that position for five years, supervising nearly 50 defense attorneys.

In 1997, Jim was appointed as Maricopa County Superior Court judge. He served in that capacity for six years, including two years on the criminal trial bench, before returning to private practice.

His skill and experience are valuable qualities in defending the rights of criminal defendants.
